Your friendly neighbourhood comic shop

It's been a number of years since Reading had a dedicated comic shop. Given our 30-year love affair with comics, we decided to live the dream and open a shop to meet the needs of Reading's comic-collecting community. We opened our doors in January 2017.

Crunch Comics Meet-Ups

Crunch Comics have a monthly informal get-together to chat about comic-related topics. We usually meet up at the Thirsty Bear in Reading and everyone's welcome to join us!

First got into comics in 2016, when Boom! Studios started Power Rangers Comics. I really love Power Rangers. Turns out, comics are really cool! They tell stories that aren't being told in other medias. And the covers are cool.

I first fell in love with comics over 30 years ago after reading some issues of Iron Man and Amazing Spider-Man that I bought at a school fair.
I decided to open the store in 2017 to realise my childhood dream of owning a comic store, although currently I'm not reading as many comics as I'd like to :(
